Foreword

This publication is issued by the DOTD Materials & Testing Section for use by the Department of Transportation and Development. Its purpose is to make a list of qualified products available to construction and maintenance personnel for use on Departmental projects.

This publication shall be used in conjunction with the Materials Sampling Manual, Standard Specifications, Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions, Maintenance Specifications, plans, and all supplementary documents effective at the time of usage.

Extra care should be taken to ensure that reference is made to the current Qualified Products List at the time of usage, regardless of the formulation date of the list and the letting date of a contract. (The time of usage is defined as the date of the Department's inspection and acceptance of the product for a specific project or purchase order.)

The Qualified Products List Manual contains both Metric and English specification references, where applicable. Any units of measure noted on lists are given in Metric first, with the applicable English unit following.

Additions and revisions will be printed and forwarded quarterly to the holders of this publication. Any question concerning this publication or its use should be directed to the Materials & Testing Section where the master Qualified Products List is maintained.

This manual is primarily for use by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. However, manuals are available for general distribution at a nominal cost. It is the responsibility of the respective manual holder to keep the LA DOTD informed of changes to the manual holder listing or to advise if the manual holder wishes to be removed from the mailing list.
