DOTD’s number one priority is the safety of the traveling public. Our goal is to decrease the frequency, rate, severity of, and potential for crashes involving motor vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians on public roads in Louisiana through the implementation of the Strategic Highway Safety Plan involving engineering, enforcement, education, and emergency services.
