​Call Before You Dig

DOTD Fiber Locates - DOTD has fiber lines along our highways that are not on LA 1 Call.  When we are notified, DOTD sends out personnel to locate and mark our underground fiber.  Map of general areas where DOTD has fiber optic cable. 

Customer Service Center - For other underground concerns along state maintained highways, please call or e-mail our Customer Service Center.  The center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Louisiana Damage Prevention Law requires excavators and demolishers to call a regional notification center at least 48 hours before they begin their work.  Call Louisiana One CallTM - the service is free to anyone who disturbs the soil, individuals or companies, whether they work with heavy equipment or hand tools.

The law also requires owner/operators of underground facilities to mark locations or supply information that will enable excavators and demolishers to locate underground utilities and facilities.
