Louisiana Statewide Transportation Plan Update - Round One Advisory Council Meetings

Purpose

The purpose of the first round of Advisory Council meetings was to give the Advisory Councils a briefing on the status of the Plan update and to allow each Council to discuss their issues regarding their mode. Attendees also received the Draft Vision, Goals, Objectives and Performance Measures to review and provide feedback, as well as the previous Policy Recommendations to consider for the next round of meetings.

Agenda

The meetings were held over the course of two days (March 20-21, 2013) at DOTD offices. There was an opening session where all heard the briefing about the Plan, and then the individual Advisory Councils met. The overall schedule is shown below, followed by information presentation and meeting summaries for each of the eight Advisory Councils.

Opening Session

Don Vary, CDM Smith Project Manager for the Plan Update, made the same presentation at all three opening sessions. It provided information about the Plan Update, activities to date, and initial issues shaping transportation needs.
